Nutrition for champs

The development of specific products

Based on the assumption that there are generally speaking two different types of metabolism, the WEIDER research team has developed the right products for everyone.
The new creatine KREA-GENIC® illustrates this.

For the carbo metabolizer we have developed MAXIMUM CELL VOLUME, a combination of carbohydrates, protein and the creatine KREA-GENIC®. This formula enables fast uptake of KREA-GENIC® into the muscle. The carbo metaboliser requires lots of carbohydrates and metabolises these easily. As a special and unique nutrient, we have added the carbohydrate trehalose, which ensures an even more rapid uptake of nutrients.

For the Protein Metabolizer we have developed MAXIMUM KREA-GENIC® capsules. KREA-GENIC® helps give you more muscles and more strength, enabling strength gain of up to 30%. The length of the break between sets can also be reduced with KREA-GENIC®, enabling short bursts of intensive bulk training.

Of course we have thought very carefully about each nutrient in our products. Quickly digested proteins (such as whey protein) have been incorporated into products for carbo metabolisers. Carbo metabolisers have a very fast metabolism and should consume several meals a day. So that the metabolism is always set to "build", fast uptake of whey protein is highly advantageous. Protein metabolisers have slower metabolisms and because they should not eat as frequently, proteins that are digested more slowly – such as milk and soy proteins – are better suited. Make use of the experience of Joe Weider and find the products that are best for you.

The basics about nutrition

Protein from proteos = the first, or taking the first place, is made up of 4.1 kcal/g amino acids.

Role in the body
Builds up the cells, builds up muscles, facilitates enzyme production, strengthens the immune system, important for healthy skin, hair and nails, keeps the body toned, helps regulate the appetite, facilitates the production of hormones such as serotonin, prevents the degeneration of muscle mass after intense physical activity
Signs of deficiency
Disorders related to physical and mental development, reduced performance, reduced resistance, degeneration of muscle mass, weakened connective tissue/cellulite, fragile nails Sources of protein in a healthy diet
Lean meat (poultry, pork fillet, beef), low-fat dairy products, soya products, wheatgerm, protein concentrates (advantage: very low fat content and very low in cholesterol and purine), amino acid products (key elements of protein)
Special features
Protein is essential to life. As it cannot be stored, it is important to ensure that you consume enough and regularly in order to be able to stay physically fit. We can’t live without protein and we can’t build up muscles without it either. It is absorbed directly by the body without losses through digestion (fast absorption).

Fett

9,3 kcal/g
Aufgabe im Körper
Energielieferant; Lieferant der essenziellen Fettsäuren; Träger der fettlöslichen Vitamine
Mangelzustände
Untergewicht, Vitaminmangel der fettlöslichen Vitamine, ekzematöse Hautkrankheiten, Fettstoffwechselstörungen
Sportlich wertvolle Nahrungsquellen
Olivenöl, Rapsöl; Fisch (z.B. Lachs), Leinsamen, Fischölkapseln (Omega-3-Fettsäuren), CLA (konjugierte Linolsäure)
Besonderheiten
