Bulking-up rule #1:

Muscles are made up of bundles of fibres that have the ability to contract and relax.

Bulking-up rule #2:

Amino acids - the modules of life

Amino acids are the modules of protein.
Protein from our diet is broken down into amino acids. The body then uses the amino acids to create exactly the proteins it needs for various functions. For this reason, it’s more accurate to speak of the body’s amino acid requirements rather than protein requirements.

Amino acids can be divided into two categories.
Firstly, there are the essential amino acids. These cannot be made by the body itself and therefore we must obtain them from our diet.
The other category is the non-essential amino acids, which can be produced by the body and therefore do not need to be obtained via our day-to-day diet.

Arginine: More Pump - better health - more virility!

What is arginine?

Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid. Babies and adolescents cannot form this amino acid themselves. Adults can obtain arginine from their diet or via synthesis from glutamine.

Natural sources:

Arginine can be found in large amounts in nuts, meat, fish and cereals.

People with increased requirements:

Bodybuilders who love to feel the pump when training.

Arginine at the gym (in the past):

Arginine has been taken at the gym for years. Several years ago, it was shown that, when taken before going to bed, it helped to increase the production of growth hormones. This effect has never really been proven. At most, arginine can bring about the natural release of growth hormones and support strength training. For this reason, it is best to take it before training.
